EVENT · CLONMEL · 2026

AI Intelligence & Organisational Brain

Two open weekend workshops on what it actually takes to build a working multi-agent organisational brain. Hosted by Michael English from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Free admission.

Workshop One

Saturday 25 – Sunday 26 July 2026

Kickoff weekend — organisational brain, swarm agents, Claude & Claude Code, Chinese open-source portals, quantum & security primer.

Workshop Two

Saturday 29 – Sunday 30 August 2026

Deep weekend — extended hands-on sessions on Chinese model deployment, quantum compute access, and post-quantum security.

What this is

Two open weekend workshops on building a real working organisational brain — the persistent, multi-agent reasoning layer that an organisation runs its operations on. Hosted by Michael English from Clonmel. All welcome — founders, operators, CTOs, individual contributors. There is no charge.

The two weekends are structured to stand on their own and to compound. Come to one or both. The July weekend is the practical kickoff; the August weekend goes deeper on quantum compute access and security, with hands-on work using the same tooling that powers IMPT.io's own organisational brain.

  • Workshop One: Saturday 25 – Sunday 26 July 2026 · Clonmel, Co. Tipperary · in-person + livestream
  • Workshop Two: Saturday 29 – Sunday 30 August 2026 · Clonmel, Co. Tipperary · in-person + livestream

What we cover, in plain English

Two intensive weekends, both with the same structure. Come to one or both — the August session goes deeper on quantum and security. Each weekend is 10am Saturday to 5pm Sunday, with breaks for proper meals and time to think.

Day 1 morning · Organisational Brain

The phrase “organisational brain” is doing a lot of work in 2026 and most of it is wrong. We will cover what the term actually means in operating practice — the difference between a chatbot bolted onto a sharepoint and a real, persistent, multi-agent reasoning layer that learns the company's habits over time. We will go through the architecture diagrams of three working organisational brains we have helped build, with the messy bits left in.

Day 1 afternoon · Swarm agents in production

Single-agent automations are a 2023 thing. The interesting work in 2026 is multi-agent — small specialised models cooperating on a shared task, with a planner, several workers, and an audit agent that holds the rest accountable. We will work through three real swarm patterns from our production code: the morning briefing swarm, the marketing-ops swarm, and the customer-research swarm. Live demos. The good kind, not the canned kind.

Day 1 evening · Claude, Claude Code, Codex, and the rest

What's actually different between Claude in the chat box, Claude Code in your terminal, and the various coding agents on the market right now. When to use each one, what each costs in practice, where the seams are. This is the session that closes the “but how do I actually start tomorrow” gap for everyone in the room.

Day 2 morning · Chinese open-source AI portals

The open-source side of the AI market in 2026 is overwhelmingly Chinese. DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM, MiniMax, Kimi, Yi — the model lineage tree is a different shape than most western teams realise, and the cost dynamics make these models the right tool for half the workloads inside an organisational brain. We will spend the morning on practical setup: pulling the models, running them on a sensible local box, the data-residency considerations, and where these models genuinely outperform the western frontier.

Day 2 afternoon · Quantum compute access & security

The host of these workshops, Michael English, is delivering Ireland's first sovereign quantum compute facility by Q2 2027. This session is the practitioner's-eye view of what that means: how to access quantum compute today through existing cloud providers, where the genuine commercial speed-ups are, what post-quantum cryptography looks like in your codebase, and what to start migrating now so you are not caught by NIST's deprecation timeline. Day 2 evening · Putting it together for your organisation

The closing session is hands-on. Each attendee leaves with a written one-page brain plan for their own organisation: which agent does what, which models run where, the data flows, the governance, and the first three weeks of work to get something running on Monday morning.

Practicalities & FAQ

Who is this for?

Founders, CTOs, ops leads, COOs, and senior individual contributors who are responsible for getting an “AI strategy” from PowerPoint to production. We have run this material privately for IMPT and a small number of client teams; this is the first time it is being run as an open workshop.

Cost?

Free. Genuinely. There is no upsell at the door, no bait-and-switch consulting pitch. We do this because we want more Irish organisations to have a working organisational brain, not because we are trying to sell you one.

Where?

Clonmel, Co. Tipperary — venue confirmed by email after registration. Hybrid: in-person seats are limited; remote attendance is fine and works well in this format.

What do I need to bring?

A laptop with a reasonable GPU is helpful for the day-2 morning session, but not required — we will run shared instances for everyone who needs them. An open mind about the Chinese model ecosystem is more important than the hardware.

Will the sessions be recorded?

Yes, and shared with attendees afterwards. Out of respect for working sessions where we discuss real production systems, recordings are not made public.

Are the sessions related?

The August session goes deeper on the quantum and security material and assumes day-1 knowledge from July. If you can only do one, July is the better starting point.

What about IMPT?

IMPT.io's own organisational brain — the swarm running our travel marketplace, our marketing operations, and our partner negotiations — will be a worked example throughout. If you are a hospitality, retail, or sustainability operator interested in how that ecosystem could plug into your business, we will have time to explore it. Plenty of attendees in the past have ended up partnering with IMPT after the workshop.
