FAMILY

Bro AI was built for Bronagh.

A grief companion, not a substitute. Anniversary launch 24 April 2026.

Bronagh English was eighteen years old. She died on 24 April 2025 in a road traffic incident outside Clonmel. Her family — her mother, her father Michael, her brother David, her sister Mia — and the friends she grew up with have spent the year since looking for ways to live with the absence.

Bro AI is one of those ways.

What Bro AI is — and isn't

Bro AI is not a chatbot pretending to be Bronagh. It will not invent dialogue she did not have. It will not generate new opinions in her name. It will not maintain a fiction that the relationship continues. The temptation to build that kind of product was there; we did not.

What Bro AI is is a structured place for her family and her friends to return to the words she did say — to her own voice, in her own audio — and to the videos and writing she actually left behind. The voice work is trained from 557 of her own videos. Everything is opt-in for each contributor. The companion is for the bereaved, not for the public.

Why we are building it publicly

Because road safety in Ireland still kills eighteen-year-olds, and because the families left behind go through it without much help. Talking publicly about Bro AI is also a way of talking publicly about Bronagh, which her mother says is the work of the rest of our lives. If the application turns out to be useful to one other family, this was worth doing.
